In recent years Accent Nene has developed and invested in a range of community services and physical regeneration projects across the eastern region. With professional staff experienced in negotiating complex projects with a wide range of public and private stakeholders, Accent Nene is well placed to be able to deliver challenging renewal/regeneration projects.

Accent Nene recognises that local environments can influence people's quality of life and their ability to access greater opportunity and involvement. We therefore believe that the key to successful regeneration is effective consultation. Understanding the needs of the client and helping them to play a significant role in the delivery of a project is viewed by Accent Nene as essential in order to secure longer term sustainability. Only then can projects begin to deliver 'quality environments' where people want to live and work, now and in the future.

Through partnership working Accent Nene is working on two high profile community investment/regeneration projects in the region. Both projects are seeking to deliver sustainability, by meeting the needs of existing residents, and by looking to integrate economic, social and environmental improvements into their respective communities.

Windmill Estate, Fulbourn:

The regeneration of a 1960s system built estate that is seeking to deliver up to 276 new dwellings and enhanced community facilities within a high quality environment.

Energy for Paston Project:

This is an innovative creative community development project delivering activities and initiatives for all age groups, working in partnership with local residents. We are currently in transition to Paston Area Community Trust, an organisation managed by local residents for local residents.

Accent Nene would welcome an opportunity to discuss regeneration/community investment proposals with potential partners. If your organisation would like to discuss an opportunity with us then please contact John Walton, Regeneration Manager on 01733 295400.
