The Disability Group works with Accent Nene to ensure that residents with a disability are treated fairly and that services are tailored to meet their needs.

The group has worked with Accent Nene to agree a Disability Equality Scheme.

The Disability Equality Scheme includes an action plan of items which the group feel need addressing. This has been put together from the personal experiences and views of both those attending and through surveys and telephone conferences which the group have undertaken.

The group is working through these issues and look at the best ways to address them.

The disability group is open to all residents with a disability and their carers.

Meetings are held on a regular basis at a venue which the group has agreed is easily accessible to all those attending.
