Easter family fun for Nene Housing reidents in
Whittelsey
Fun for all the family was on offer at an Easter fun afternoon
organised for Nene Housing residents in Whittlesey which provided
people with an opportunity to meet neighbours and welcome new
families into the area.
The afternoon was full of Easter-themed activities for children
and adults. Children took part in an Easter egg hunt where they had
to search for questions hidden around the Debdale Court and
Hunsbury Close areas. For each correct answer the children received
an Easter egg and everyone who entered was given a goody bag. The
afternoon continued with a chocolate egg and spoon race where
adults and children were able to compete in their own races to win
prizes.
Food was provided for all the residents while other
entertainment was organised and children played together on giant
board games.
Ruth Mingay, assistant resident involvement officer at Nene,
said: "The afternoon was organised to provide an opportunity for
people to get together, meet new faces and welcome new residents to
the area. It was very well attended and we were pleased to see so
many people having a great time. These events are important as they
help to create a real sense of community. They give people the
chance to get to know some of their neighbours better and also to
chat with Nene staff."
