Get involved
Would you like to have more of a say in how we run things? You could start by reading section 13 of your tenancy handbook. It explains how you can get involved in everything we do, and help to improve services for all residents, everywhere.
Your involvement, no matter how much or how little, will be very welcome. You can also telephone 01274 717 500 and ask for our resident involvement team or email yourviews@accentgroup.org
Accent Foundation Board
The Accent Foundation Board makes sure that Accent Foundation’s day-to-day business is properly planned, organised and carried out. Board members work with residents to influence and improve services. Members are not employees. They usually come from outside the business, and are chosen because their experience, knowledge and skills will benefit our residents. We have three resident board members on the Accent Foundation Board.
Accent Group National Residents’ Panel
Our National Residents' Panel is made up of residents from Accent Foundation, Accent Nene and Accent Peerless. Residents help to drive improvements across Accent Group, concentrating on shared issues such as anti-social behaviour, repairs, lettings and resident involvement.
Accent Foundation Residents’ Panel
Members of the Accent Foundation Residents’ Panel help to improve services for Accent Foundation residents by looking at the policies and procedures that affect them, and making recommendations for change to the Accent Foundation Board. The chair of this panel sits on the Accent Foundation Board.
Accent Foundation Editorial Panel
Resident members of the Accent Foundation Editorial Panel read and review all Accent Foundation documents, publicity materials and residents’ information. Members comment on and influence content, style, readability and legibility.
Panel meeting minutes
Please visit our main publications page, where you can read and download copies of minutes from Panel meetings.
Regular local meetings
These are one-off meetings which are used to talk about certain parts of our business.
Residents’ associations
These are good for getting together with your neighbours to talk about things that affect your scheme and neighbourhood.
Annual estate and scheme meetings
Each of our schemes and estates has an action plan. Each plan has been put together based on the issues residents feel are important. When meetings are held, residents have the chance to discuss plans and influence decisions.
Questionnaires and Surveys
Please take part in our questionnaires and surveys. They are done quite often, and can be by post or telephone.
Staff on Site (SOS) days
We inspect all our schemes regularly to make sure they meet our standards. You are most welcome to join in. Your neighbourhood team can tell you when the next walkabouts for your estate are happening.
Interested residents
When residents tell us they are interested in getting involved, we keep their contact details on a list, so that when opportunities for resident involvement come up, we can invite them to take part. We currently have over 200 residents on this list.
Leaflets and publications
We have a whole library of information for you to view and download on every part of our service.
Your Voice magazine
Read Your Voice, our residents’ magazine.
Neighbourhood News
Our neighbourhood teams publish local newsletters for their homes and estates. Please contact your team if you would like a copy of your neighbourhood newsletter.
